1997 Reg. American Sport horse
Sarge was a bit of a trouble maker in his younger years. Being told he would NEVER be a dressage horse, this sent Sarah to look for a whole new training style. With the help of her then employer, Tracey Wiess, Sarah found Karl Mikolka. After giving Sargent some time off, Sarah brought Sarge back from the ground up.
After a year Sarah was showing Sargent at the ODS League shows. Sarah then decided in 2010 to take Sarge out on the USDF circuit, showing at Training and First Level. They earned scores into the high 60’s and low 70’s, and qualified for the Oregon Dressage Society Championships. Sarah and Sarge averaged scores in the mid 60’s in both Training and First Levels at the Championship show, earning 10th place in Training and 5th place in First level. Sarah was thrilled with Sargent’s success; it proved that Sargent could be a dressage horse and he still is – teaching others the in’s and outs of how to piece the dressage puzzle together.
